From Rifugio Olmo to Clusone Descent towards the villages and conclusion of the route
Descent towards the villages and conclusion of the route
The last stage of the Red Route starts from Rifugio Olmo, following a gradual descent along the CAI 327 path. The route crosses high-altitude meadows and reaches Passo Olone, from which you can observe the valleys below.
Continuing, you pass near Malga Campo, a panoramic point useful for a break. The landscape alternates open stretches with wooded areas, with the presence of larch forests and waterways. The vegetation gradually thickens, marking the transition from an alpine to a hilly environment.
After passing Località Biliardo, the route continues along historic paths that in the past connected the villages in the area. The path crosses Rovetta, passing next to the Chiesetta degli Alpini, and continues in the direction of Clusone.
The entrance to the city takes place through residential areas and secondary roads, until reaching the historic center, where there are places of cultural interest such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, the Oratorio dei Disciplini with the Danse Macabre, and the Fanzago Planetary Clock.
This stage, with a predominantly negative difference in altitude, concludes the circular itinerary. The return to Clusone represents the end of a route that combines the natural environment and the urban context, with ample possibilities for visits and available services.
