Amid ridges, woods and enchanting views

After leaving the Presolana Pass, the trail enters a predominantly wooded environment, characterized by compact pine forests and gently sloping sections. The first part of the itinerary develops on a mixed surface, with some narrower but well-marked passages.

After crossing the woods, the route opens onto more exposed slopes, with wide views of the valleys. Near the Carlo Medici ai Cassinelli Refuge, it is possible to make an intermediate stop. The refuge is in a favorable position for a break, just before the start of the most challenging section of the stage.

The route continues on the Sentiero delle Capre, with uphill sections between high-altitude meadows and sections on scree that require a sure step. The arrival at the Olmo Refuge (1,819 m) concludes the stage in a medium-mountain context, with the possibility of using a refreshment service and overnight stay.

The stage alternates forest and alpine environments, with variations in slope and surface that make the route varied, but accessible to hikers with good preparation.
