The heart of the Orobie between panoramic ridges and mountain legends

From Rifugio Magnolini, the third stage develops along Alpine ridges and ridges, in the direction of Passo della Presolana. The route crosses high-altitude meadows and exposed but well-marked paths, with panoramic points on Lake Iseo and Val di Scalve.

The route passes Monte Pora and Colle Vareno, and then follows the ridge of Monte Lantana. In this section the environment becomes more open, with limited but progressive differences in altitude. You then reach Monte Scanapà, from which a wide view of the surrounding peaks opens up.

The arrival at Passo della Presolana represents the conclusion of the stage. This pass, located between Val Seriana and Val di Scalve, is easily recognizable for its limestone walls and the typical high-altitude environment.

For those who wish to take a break, it is possible to deviate towards the nearby Rifugio Carlo Medici ai Cassinelli, which can be reached in a short time. The stage ends near a well-equipped area, from which it is possible to continue towards the Rifugio Olmo in the next stage.
